7 Smart Strategies to Avoid Visitor Visa Rejection
6th, Jan 2026
On January 5, 2026, Saskatchewan announced an urgent change to the first application intake window for sectors subject to the 2026 caps.
The opening date for these sectors has been moved to January 13, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., replacing the previously scheduled date of January 6.
This update affects candidates in the Trucking, Retail Trade, and Accommodation and Food Services sectors, which now share a limited portion of the total SINP allocation. For 2026, the intake windows are scheduled for January 13, March 2, May 4, July 6, September 7, and November 2.
Crucially, applications will be accepted only from candidates with six months or less remaining on their current work permit. Employers in these industries may submit applications only during one of the six designated windows. Candidates with work permits valid for more than six months will not be eligible for these specific intake rounds.
