Effective March 14, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) updated the Entrepreneur category of the program.
Key changes include a new minimum language requirement of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 5; mandatory exploratory visits to Saskatchewan lasting at least five calendar days;
extended operation period requiring businesses to operate for 12 months before applying for nomination; restrictions to nominee-to-nominee business successions;
new residency requirements for applicants and their families within 50 kilometres of their business; and mandatory in-person interviews for all applicants, with no interpretation services allowed.
