Inspectors are visiting workplaces throughout Quebec to ensure that temporary foreign workers are safe and healthy, targeting six main sectors of the economy. According to provincial
Immigration Minister Jean Boulet, “with the relaxation of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, the government of Quebec needed to improve the health and safety resources available to
temporary foreign workers and their employers.” These health and safety inspections will help raise awareness in workplaces about the rights and obligations of workers and their employers and
help foreign workers know their rights.
