New measures for foreign nationals with expired or expiring post-graduation work permits and applicants to the temporary resident to permanent resident pathways
16th, Mar 2022
According to the Government of Canada’s 2022-2024 Immigration Levels Plan, family reunification and the sponsorship of parents and grandparents for permanent residence will be one of the top priorities for the Government.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) still does not know when it will start accepting new applications under the 2022 Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP).
This year, the new Immigration Levels Plan shows that Ottawa plans to issue 25,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to applicants through the PGP.
