Canadian population welcomes and supports Afghan refugees in their communities.
Since August 2021, Canadians donated more than $1 million and over 200,000 goods, including kid’s toys, clothing, and personal care products.
More than 5,000 Canadians have opened their homes and provided temporary accommodations to Afghan refugees. The Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS), the Afghan Network for Social Services, as well as Resettlement Assistance Program service provider (RAP SPO) in Calgary coordinate volunteers and donations to help Afghan refugees.
