The parliamentary committee introduced the results of a study concerning the Canadian immigration and Covid-19 impact

The Report of the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration illustrates how the pandemic has affected Canadian immigration. It highlights the challenges of technology access, processing delays, communication, and legal exclusions to applicants in family reunification and international student streams. The report also examines economic immigration, as well as the Government of Canada’s efforts to address growing risks for Hong Kong pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong and Canada. The committee is comprised of Canadian members of parliament, who manage and monitor federal policy relating to immigration and multiculturalism, as well as oversee the immigration department and refugee board. #Immigration, #Covid_19
