Quebec is considering creating a new immigration program to speed up the process of getting permanent residency for francophone immigrants already living in Quebec.

The new immigration program would mainly focus on graduates from CEGEP colleges and universities who speak French and temporary workers who have been living in Quebec for a while.

As Quebec endeavours to preserve and grow the use of French in the province, this program will help them advance that objective by prioritizing francophone immigrants.
