Canadian Provincial Immigration Sees Turbulent Shifts in 2025
25th, Jul 2025
IRCC reestablishes biometric collection ope Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has partnered with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to resume critical biometric collection services in Sudan, effective July 24, 2025.
This strategic reopening addresses challenges faced by applicants who were previously unable to complete their Canadian immigration applications due to service suspension. The appointment-only system will prioritize individuals with applications in progress under family-based permanent residence pathways and resettlement programs.
IOM representatives will directly contact eligible applicants to schedule biometric collection appointments and medical examinations, which will be coordinated whenever possible for the applicant's convenience.
