IRCC added the Philippines to the Visiting Forces Act designated states list

GH Immigration Svcs

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has updated its policy to include the Philippines as a designated state under the Visiting Forces Act.

This designation allows military members from the Philippines to enter Canada without a temporary resident visa, passport, electronic travel authorization, work permit, study permit, or medical examination. These exemptions only apply to members entering Canada solely for official duties. To qualify, personnel must carry a military identity card and a movement order or an official invitation from Canada's Department of National Defence.

Family members are not exempt from visas or passports, but they do not have to pay visa and biometric fees.
