9th, May 2023
On May 4, 2023, the Government of Canada announced that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) application fees for foreign nationals who fled Sudan with their Canadian family members – including Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
After arriving in Canada, Sudanese nationals can apply for an open work or study permit and permanent residence under the family class without paying the processing fee.
Applicants seeking to enter Canada will continue to be subject to all other legal requirements and admissibility criteria.
