7 Smart Strategies to Avoid Visitor Visa Rejection
7th, May 2024
The Liberal Government plans to expedite the deportation of rejected asylum seekers by amending Canada’s asylum system, as announced in the 2024 federal budget.
Amid a 62% rise in asylum applications since 2023, new measures aim to enhance efficiency without compromising fairness, despite concerns from immigration lawyers.
The backlog of 186,000 cases, partially due to Canada’s housing crisis, has resulted in longer wait times and 28,000 active warrants for failed applicants.
The government has dedicated $743.5 million to address the issue and introduced changes, including visa requirements for Mexicans, a cap on international students, and reduced work hours for them.
