7 Ways New Citizenship Rules Open Doors for Families With Canadian Roots
20th, Nov 2023
On November 17, 2023, Canada responded to the global migration crisis by announcing a humanitarian pathway to provide residence to 15,000 displaced people from the Western Hemisphere.
The pathway, open to Colombian, Haitian, and Venezuelan nationals with family ties in Canada, offers safe migration, pre-arrival services, and potential financial assistance.
Additionally, Canada plans to welcome 4,000 more individuals through existing worker programs. These actions aim to alleviate migration pressures and offer alternatives to irregular migration due to instability.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will monitor and adjust the program as necessary.
