9th, Mar 2022
On March 8, 2022, the Government of Canada introduced a new update regarding the pathway to permanent residence (PR) for extended family members of Afghan interpreters
who immigrated to Canada under the previous public policies implemented in 2009 and 2012 and worked for or assisted the Canadian Government or Armed Forces.
The application process of Afghan nationals has opened on December 9, 2021, and still continues.
All PR applications submitted by the Afghan interpreters under this public policy have to be sent by mail to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in the Centralized Network.
