The government of New Brunswick will cover costs for up to 300 internationally educated nurses each year to help them integrate into the healthcare system.
The initiative will last five years and cover various expenses such as assessments and tuition. Eligible nurses will be provided with financial support on a case-by-case basis.
Candidates must have a provincial nomination, be licensed in their home country, and pursue the licensure/registration process in New Brunswick to be eligible.
As part of this initiative, the Nurses Association of New Brunswick has taken steps to reduce the registration process for nurses from 12-18 months to as little as two weeks.
