Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), stated in an interview that the Government is in the process of creating a new pathway for Temporary Resident to Permanent Resident Pathway (TR2PR).
Furthermore, he mentioned that he was working under a 120-day timeline set by motion 44, approved in the House of Commons in May 2022.
On May 11, 2022, the House of Commons approved motion 44, which intends to give permanent residency status to temporary foreign workers and international students who have Canadian work experience in areas with severe labour shortages.
