Preparing for Canada Immigration Reforms: Express Entry Guidance for Applicants in Winnipeg

On February 11, 2022, the Government of Canada announced that over the past week, around 460 Afghan refugees arrived in Canada on 20 different commercial flights.
Together with the last batch of Afghan refugees, the total number of Afghan nationals who arrived in Canada reached 7,550.
In addition, on February 3, British Columbia admitted 90 government-assisted refugees. These refugees were welcomed by Musqueam elders and accepted to their territory.
In the past week, Afghan newcomers have been resettled in more than 90 communities across Canada, mainly in Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver.
