Express Entry Trends in 2026 and What Winnipeg Applicants Need to Know

On December 9, 2021, the Government of Canada announced a new pathway for the extended family members of Afghan interpreters who immigrated under previous measures in 2009 and 2012.
Considering the risk Afghans took to support Canada’s work in their country and understanding that some interpreters’ family members are still in precarious positions as a result of their
relationship with the interpreters, the Government provided this pathway to bring as many vulnerable Afghans as possible and help them acquire permanent residency in Canada.
