The Indian embassy in Ottawa called upon the Canadian Government to ensure the safety of Indian international students in Canada.
The embassy has made its request to the Government on behalf of the Indian Government after an Indian international student was killed in Nova Scotia recently in an attack that is thought to be racially motivated.
In addition, the embassy also warned members of the Indian community in Canada to stay safe.
Following the death of 23-year-old Prabhjot Singh Katri, many Indian students in Canada feel unsafe.
