Canadian Immigration Consultant

I’m Gerard Haggett, the proud owner of GH Immigration Svcs.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I never planned to get into the immigration industry. The opportunity seemed to land in my lap when I least expected it. It all started when I used to travel abroad frequently and would meet some interesting people, many of whom were seeking greener pastures.

Each individual had touching stories to tell, but the challenge was they did not know how to make a fresh start. I was involved in multiple businesses but was seeking a new adventure, and so I decided to become an immigration consultant to help people live their dream.

As I wanted to make sure I could give my clients the best possible service, I swiftly went back to college to get certified. Soon after qualifying, I began a new chapter in my life, providing services such as securing student study visas and facilitating immigration programs.

Ever since I got into the immigration industry, it has struck me how the rules are continually changing. You never know what is going to happen next. Laws are amended monthly at times, which keeps me on my toes.

Some cases can be a real challenge, and it’s always difficult to break any bad news to people,  but I believe honesty is the best policy. I have maintained this consistency from the start, which has allowed me to grow and become successful.

I feel I have been able to achieve a lot as I am a people’s person and love my role. I make sure to listen carefully to what my clients have to say and give them individual attention, before preparing the documentation which aims to reap positive results.

Despite helping several clients, I still remember the very first application that I had submitted. When it was approved, it was a small victory that convinced me that I had made the right choice in dedicating myself to this rewarding profession. After all, nothing beats seeing the huge smile of people reunited with their loved ones.

When I am not helping others secure their future, I love doing renovations which I find fulfilling. I also have a passion for music. I was a drummer for a few years, but now I enjoy relaxing and listening to my favorite performers.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
